Does sex hurt for the first time?

I never had sex. I am 16. I am not sure what to expect. I want to know from other girls or women and their experiences with it. Does it hurt the first time you have sex? Is it uncomfortable or should I not be worried about it?

It can, yes. This is because nothing has been in your vagina before (assuming you never used toys). It helps to stimulate it first prior to your first time having sex so the muscles relax. You are going to be nervous the first few times but the pain shouldn't be unbearable. Just try to ease into it and be with someone you trust.

Usually, if it hurts, this is down to tension. You have to be relaxed. If you do experience pain, your partner could be doing it too rough so just be gentle your first few times and ease into it. I agree as well with finding someone you trust. Make that a priority.

It can feel a bit uncomfortble. I don't really have a strong remembrance of how it felt for me other than it being "weird". I think this was down to it being rushed and me and my boyfriend of the time being each other's first. Neither one of us had a clue what we were doing!
