Anyone have experience with NuvaRing?
#1
I remember years ago seeing advertisements for a few different contraceptive rings and I considered trying one but then lawsuits started flooding in for one of them and I became too worried about them to try it. Now that it has been a good 15 years since then, I think they should be much safer and I want to give one a try. The most popular one seems to be NuvaRing. Does anyone here use this one?

A friend of mine started using this a few years ago and has since stopped. She noticed after a few months that her periods were getting lighter and lighter, and then they just stopped. Her doctor told her to give it some time for her body to adjust but she was too concerned that it might ruin her fertility so she ended up getting it removed.

As far as I know, for most women, the NuvaRung is virtually safe but some studies suggest long-term use can lead to hormonal and blood issues later in life. I think a doctor familiar with them can break down the risks and answer any concerns you might have about them. They are certainly safer than they were 15 years ago.
