How long can it take to become pregnant?
I am 38 and I am going to be 39 at the start of 2022. I am worried that I am going to take a long time to become pregnant and it will get to a point where it is a huge risk for the baby and my body. I have not had a child, never been pregnant (and had an abortion), and no miscarriages. I just don't want to be trying to conceive for 2 or 3 years at this point. I feel like I need to get pregnant and have my baby before 40.
Given your age, you have anywhere between a 9% to 17% chance of getting pregnant each month. It is low but not impossible. I read that it can help to change your diet to enhance your hormones. I remember reading about something called maca and women using that to get pregnant. Some reported success after only 2 or 3 months of taking it.
A friend of mine who is 39 now was trying when she was 37. She got pregnant after about 7 months of trying and tracking her cycle. She gave birth to a beautiful little girl. I think some women can take longer than others while some get it within the first month or two. Have you gotten your eggs looked at to see how healthy they are?
