I am curious to learn how this will change my body. I am 16 so I think I started my period later than most other girls. All my friends had their periods for at least a few years now. My mother didn't seem to be concerned because she got her period when she was 16 as well, so did my aunt. I guess some just get it a bit later?

You will likely notice more body hair, your breasts getting bigger, you might gain more weight in your hips and legs, and your sense of taste might change. What I mean by that last one is that some of your favorite foods might start to taste different and you may find yourself craving new things. All part of the hormones! Also, you might experience mood swings or emotional sensitivity. This is common for girls just starting their period and should lesson with time.

You are already 16 so you likely have already noticed changes happening. Body hair, pimples, smells, the texture of your skin will be rougher and so on. I think Cloe covered the basics. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask!
